Continued strong achievements by the EcoMicro program
The EcoMicro program, cofinanced by NDF, uses microfinance to deliver green results.
The Nordic Development Fund (NDF) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) are financing the EcoMicro program. The purpose of the program is to train micro finance institutions (MFIs) to provide new green finance instruments in order to capitalise on new opportunities in clean energy financing, adjust their risk management models to climate change risk and to incorporate climate impact into their internal policies and operations.
