NCF finances innovative climate change projects in developing countries.
Strong project ideas can receive a grant between EUR 250,000 and 500,000.
Financing is allocated on a competitive basis with thematic calls for proposals arranged annually.
Selected projects should contribute to the fulfilment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
NCF has launched nine Calls for Proposals for innovative climate change projects in developing countries since its launch in 2009. During its operation, a total of EUR 41 million in grant financing has been allocated to 99 projects in 22 countries. The implementation of the on-going projects will continue according to the plan. No further calls for proposals are planned.
